HIPL Salons
Small evenings, one big question.
Starting nowA host, a living room or a café, chai, and one question worth an evening. No speeches, no panels: everyone talks. Salons are the easiest way to bring HIPL to your city.
- A host picks one question from the 100 Questions or the news.
- 15–25 people, by invitation and open sign-up.
- Two hours, one conversation, a short note afterwards in the Dispatch.
Heritage Walks
Temples, ghats and living history.
Starting nowWalk through living temples, ghats and old neighbourhoods with a guide who knows the history and the people who keep these places alive. History told on the spot, with sources.
- A guide (historian, local or priest) plans a two-hour route.
- Groups of up to 25, early morning.
- Every walk ends with a stop for breakfast and questions.
Culture Nights
Music, dance, film and art.
Coming soonAn evening of performance and conversation: a raga and the story behind it, a film screening and a discussion, a dancer on how a tradition is reinvented.
- One artist or performance, one conversation.
- Partnered with cultural venues and collectives.
Seva Saturdays
Service with local partners.
Starting nowSeva is an idea best understood with your hands. Once a month we volunteer with a local partner, from temple kitchens and ghat clean-ups to reading with children, then talk about what service asks of us.
- A partner organisation sets the task.
- Three hours of work, thirty minutes of conversation.
- Open to everyone, of any belief or none.
Campus Circles
Student chapters and debates.
Starting nowStudent-run HIPL chapters that host debates, reading circles and Salons on campus, with the Delhi Union as our first debating partner. A starter kit, speakers and a network of other Circles.
- Three students and a faculty friend can start a Circle.
- We send a starter kit, debate formats and speaker contacts.
- Circles meet monthly and join an inter-campus debate each term.
